I am still mildly disappointed in the treatment I got as most questions were answered with an obvious cut/paste into the chat window. However, what's even more significant is the fact that, together with it, Synology released a new firmware that adds some unique and notable features, including robust mesh functionality.

My Deco App does not help me find the problem and it also shows that my download speed is severely affected at main unit but upload speed is unaffected.I’m of the understanding, as I will be wired backhauling anyways (single cat6 port in every room), the additional bandwith 160mhz of the XT9 is not a notable benefit over the rt6600ax?

And the second, the Wi-Fi Connect app, will take care of all things Wi-Fi, including adding a second MR2200ac unit as a mesh point. For my house, the Internet point is located at the end of my house, so despite my house is only 113 m 2, I would need at least two nodes. For those who take advantage of impressive 4 g or 5G mobile routers for work, the fact you can simply connect this router to the Synology RT2600ac or MR2200ac as your current Internet connection, or as an emergency failover, is hugely beneficial and is a feature that is weirdly absent from a number of other router releases in 2020/2021 and their manufacturer’s software.I do understand even with 5G backhaul one may loose speed or signal but could it be possible to do that? I usually use the device priority on Google WiFi for my wired PC often and I’d prefer to have AP and band steering (but not essential), not sure if the Synology has that? This is also connected to the LAN so the ‘back haul’ between the two MR2200ac devices is over Ethernet, this is not essential as there is a s econd 5GHz band that can do this. Considering the speed, I could move the MR200ac even further away — to increase the coverage — and still had decent Wi-Fi speeds.
