About this deal

As Warr digs into Rodney's past, Ridley calls pleading for help, now accused of a murder he insists he didn't commit. Where have I been ? I’ve always enjoyed reading but only lately started reading your books now I’m so hooked. I’m working on completing my collection. Thank you Reply

Pure Evil (DC Jack Warr, book 4) by Lynda La Plante Pure Evil (DC Jack Warr, book 4) by Lynda La Plante

Her first TV series as a scriptwriter was the six part robbery series Widows, in 1983, in which the widows of four armed robbers carry out a heist planned by their deceased husbands. I don’t have the patience to see if her writing style stays the same, I’m going to presume it does. I must admit I've only read the Widows book by Lynda La Plante, which I loved, so was looking forward to reading this. It didn't disappoint. We have a swap letterbox library locally as the public library has been closed due to Covid. I borrowed one of your books Lynda called Blind Fury is was great having never read your books before I am hooked, just finished reading Unholy Murder that was fantastic. My next is Blunt Force keep up the great writing. Reply The sub-plot involving DCI Ridley is another great story and is testament to the writing skills of the author that she can include two stories of equal value in one book. This plot was very unexpected and kept me guessing throughout. This is tense, gripping and completely addictive. I have felt as though I have been watching the events of this one play out. This is realistic and believable, guaranteed to send shivers down the spine of the reader. I did not enjoy the author’s style of writing at all. It felt extremely stilted to me. The parts of the book in direct speech, flip from one speaker to the another with no indication of who is saying what and the actual dialogue felt like it had been written by someone with a lot less talent and experience than Ms La Plante!

Constantly mentioning about how the man puts his mask on and then takes it off once his clients advise that they’ve all had their “shots” so no need for a mask…. Blah blah blah.I have on my audio books 174 titles, and I wish I could say they were all hers, but sadly not all available. Could you please endeavour to put all her books on audio…I have just finished the govener book 1, and I can’t find book 2. .. I love every single one of the book she has written. The one I have enjoyed the most is the Anna Travis serious. Will there be anymore or that is it. Would love to see Anna’s progress in the police force and her relationship with the DCI.
