No worries. A lot of people don't actually know how the sensor bar works. Nintendo did a good job of making it look like magic when it came out. First, if you're using a non-official Adapter that offers a toggle between "Wii U" and "PC" modes, switch it to "Wii U." Dolphin has native support for the GameCube Controller Adapter once you have installed the proper driver, so feel free to ignore the PC mode unless you wish to use the controller in other applications. If you're using an official Switch or Wii U adapter, skip this step. If you’re on a more powerful machine you can change the display render quality on the enhancements tab to get smoother graphics, or, as I prefer, leave them at native resolution for a more authentic console feel. Only downside, it needs an USB connection so atm i cannot use it above my beamer but apart from this Update: Due to problems of the IR LEDs burning out from staying on too long, the v5 firmware released in late 2015 turns off the DolphinBar's IR LED lights when they are not needed, such as when no Wiimotes are connected or when the DolphinBar is in a mode where the pointer cannot be used. But unlike the old problematic sensor bars that turned off after a set time, the DolphinBar knows when the wiimote is being used, so it presents no problems. To anyone who hasn't updated their DolphinBars to a version with this feature, we definitely recommend that they do so.

Is the mayflash dolphin bar worth it? What makes it better than just hooking it up to a regular bluetooth adapter on a computer? Clevo W230SS : 3200x1800 IPS | i7 4700MQ @ 3.6GHz (Intel XTU + Triple fan mod) | GTX 860M GDDR5 | 128GB Toshiba CFD SSD | 16GB DDR3L 1600MHz

Now, about connecting your Wii console to your PC, I assume you mean you want to use Wii Remotes on your PC while playing Dolphin? To use Wii Remotes you'll need to connect them to a Bluetooth adapter on your PC. This only allows you to use the Wii Remote without the pointer. If you want to use the pointer, you'll have to get some sort of sensor bar near your PC. Once you’ve got that selected press the 1 and 2 buttons on the Wii Remote and it should start flashing it’s blue LEDs at you. This means it’s in pairing mode.

I think the 7.5V sensor bar would be able to run off 5V, but it could be dimmer (it should still be plenty bright) This list contains a USB powered sensor bar (needs to be plugged in to your computer) as well as a fully wireless sensor bar (requires 4 AA batteries for power). I have the original Wii Sensor Bar spare and need to convert the original plug to USB, because i have the one installed and pasted in my TV and dont want to remove/reinstall again in each travel... it's too much work for me. Then, the idea is how I want to take advantage of what I have to change in USB to connect in the Wii or PS4 or TV or any device with USB entry, without need to buy another sensor bar (please don't insist me to buy other). There are three major kinds of Wii Remotes. The original Wii Remote with no Motion Plus Inside, and two variants of the Wii Remote including Motion Plus. For Dolphin, connecting original Wii Remotes and the early Wii Remotes with Motion Plus inside is simpler, as you can just use the "1" and "2" buttons on the Wii Remote to connect to Dolphin. The later Wii Remotes with Motion Plus Inside (denoted by a -TR under the battery shell) changed the connection method and now you must use the red sync button under the battery shell to connect Wii Remotes to Dolphin. There is also some stuff you can do in the controller configuration to get a pointer without having a sensor bar (either using the mouse or using MotionPlus), but plugging the sensor bar into your Wii is probably the best solution if you can put the Wii close enough to your computer.

Here is described the easiest way to build a Wii sensor bar, it works for me with my dolphin emulator at 21 feets. Switch to four different modes, Keyboard and Mouse Mode (LED1), Keyboard and Mouse Game Mode (LED2), Game Controller Mode (LED3) and WiiRemote Controller Emulator Mode (LED4) by pressing the MODE button on the DolphinBar. If you plug in the sensor bar to your Wii and keep your Wii turned on, you will be able to use the sensor bar for Dolphin. Just Dance 2 Best buy edition not working properly on USB Loader GX but works fine in dolphin emulator Contributions to the project are always appreciated, so if you would like to support us with a donation you can do so here.Would it be as if you had a switch to switch from the usb to the AA power source? or both at once for more voltage and LEDs? Looks like it could. I would not use that kind of switch, I would just use one that is fixed at the left end and toggles between the other two. Once the circuit is complete, seal the connections with melted silicone, place the two sensors around 12" distance one to other. This bundle contains an official GameCube Controller (White) as well as a very commonly used USB adapter to connect the controller to your PC.
