Description

Following Tigra's arrival, she protected Reese as Zodiac used a bomb to destroy the Midnight Mission in a bid to test Moon Knight's resolve. The way they absolutely hate each other but have to work together and tolerate each other is perfection. So the issue starts with MK on a mission to save people at night and he meets Reese and all there and the drama there as another fist of Khonshu aka the Hunters moon is here and he fights MK and it's it's a fun fight and all.

Knight has opened his Midnight Mission, his people petitioning him to shelter them from the weird and horrible. This is helped out by the fact that there's a second villain waiting in the wings who initially seems more important, but might be more of a Ghost-Maker to Moon Knight than a Joker. After killing their "recruiters," one of the vampires, a woman named Reese, pled for mercy and was shown such as Moon Knight recognized them as victims.

This isn't an Immortal Hulk-esque system of alters so much as a group of people working towards a common goal that all happen to be living in the same body, and the subtle changes when the dominant personality shifts are wonderful to behold. The Moon Knight stalks the rooftops and alleys marked with his crescent moon tag, bringing violence to any who would harm his people. I don't know why this took me so long to start this comic, i loved the first volume and the characters in it so much: Reese, dr. The supporting cast are great fun too, especially once a familiar West Coast Avenger pops onto the scene. After this, Moon Knight expanded the scope of the Midnight Mission to help other neglected individuals and communities in New York City, not just the wayward undead.

Quite a few new and interesting characters are introduced in this first volume, including his vampire assistant and another Fist of Khonshu. Knight has opened his Midnight Mission, his people petitioning for protection from the weird and horrible. Alessandro Cappuccio’s art was pretty good too, but with another more horror-oriented artist from the Fist of Konshu’s past like Sienkiewicz, Finch or Burrows, this could have been a five stars review from me.
